What a weekend.   Clem, Paul K, Eric along with his daughter Mary and Barnyard joined Scott and Carla along with their friends Jerry and Dave for a fun filled weekend. Scott and Carla did it up right for everyone. With plenty of "Wimpy Burgers" and apple cider nobody went hungry.

Dan (Clem) showed everyone some very usefull tips such as things to look for when changing oil and what to service when the hood is off.  He also showed how to flush the engine and made a metal fuel line for Barnyard's #5.  Although he is a "newbie", Paul picked up on things quick when he noticed oil running from a loose pan plug on Scott's Cub.

Barnyard, under the watchful eye of everyone, went to work on Griswold. He wired up a new voltage regulator, replaced several brittle wires and removed a half dozen unknown wires from the ignition switch. Everything needed for a tune up was also installed.  With a lot of rooting on from the onlookers old Grizz finally sputtered to life for the first time since coming to Barnyard's barnyard.

While the boys played with their toys, Carla, Julie and Rosanne got together with the kids and decorated pumpkins for Halloween.  They had a great time doing this, but it was obvious they really wanted to get their hands dirty working on the Cubs.

When all else fails, read the directions.

A little problem with sticking between gears was remedied real fast with the top off the transmission and a little fork adjusting.

Scott shows Jerry and Dave how smooth a tranny shifts when everything is tightened up.

Paul checks out the line up.  He had such a good time that next year he will probably be bringing his along.

Scott's wall sign gives you the impression he would like to be a dealer.

Eric and his daughter, Mary check out Barnyard's #5.  Mary seemed to be just as interested in the Cubs as dad was.  It looks like his second Cub may come along faster than he thought.

The hood came off and the work began.  The sole purpose of repairs on Griswold this week end was to get him running.  A bunch of new parts and some rewiring and he was sounding good.

This was the only building that wasn't red & white at Scott's.  Clem told me an interesting story about not taking your drink inside with you.

The port-a-barn easily carries two Cubs.  You just have to remember to tighten all the straps prior to hauling them.  It's a good thing this was an enclosed trailer.  Griswold would have been in the middle of I-75 before we got out of Michigan.  After all those years hauling Jeeps to Livingston Kentucky and Silver Lake Michigan with no problems you would think Barnyard would know better.

Another fun time for Cub owners.  Everyone agreed it was a good weekend and talked about doing it again next year.

Great job, Scott and Carla!
