The schedule such that it is:

Might even make a tub of Kub Ice-Kreme late this evening!

October 2nd Friday:
Shop opens at sunrise. Early arrivals may find coffee, juice and possibly muffins or donuts?

Workshops and projects all morning as needed and desired.

For the ladies, there will be yard sales everywhere and the Maysville Festival will be gearing up again today.

Workshops and projects all afternoon as needed and desired.

6:00/7:00 pm:  Pot luck dinner with whatever shows upi

October 3rd, Saturday:
Shop will be open early again, coffee, juice and muffins or donuts.

Then it is off to the parade!

Everyone is welcome to join the parade in Maysville.  However we need to be loaded up and rolling out to go at/no later than 8:15 am !!!! This is imperative if we are to get to the line up and get our place together as a group in the parade. The parade starts at 9:30 am and will last about and hour or so. It is about 2 to 3 miles long so gas up!

Once the parade is over we can all head back to the loading/un-loading area just north of town and load up. If you like you can spend some time in Maysville or head back to the shop for some more Cub work, we have most of the afternoon.

Lunch:  Let's promote the food in Maysville since we're down there anyway till about 11 or 12: This will benifit the local charties and churches

5:00/7:00 pm: Dinner…..we will be having a special BBQ provided by Corky’s Cub this evening with all the trimmings and some special deserts including Ellen’s homemade pound cake and some more of that Kub Kreme!!

Some happenings from last years event

Stonethrow is located approximately 60 miles North, Northeast of Atlanta, Georgia off I-85.

If you would like to do a MapQuest or Google Maps of my location just plug in
6510 Highway 52 Gillsville, Georgia 30543 and you should find me easily.

Directions:
If your getting off I-85 either northbound or southbound just turn left (I know that sounds weird but trust me its one of those weird exit things) and go 9.6 miles and your there on the left is the shop and on the right is parking on the top of the hill, plenty of room and there will be signs to parking and to the shop.

There is a way to come over the mountains from Knoxville, Tenn. Via I-40 / 74 (exit 27 off I-40) pick up US 19/23 to Waynesville, N.C. and on to Dillsboro, N.C. stay on US 23 till you come to the intersection/exit for Atlanta via US 441. Once on US 441 it will eventually turn into Highway 365 take this till you see the intersection of Highway 52 take a left and follow the signs to Gillsville. The shop and parking is less than ½ mile once you pass the Post Office on the right in town.

If your coming from any other way, probably the easiest way to get directions will be to email or PM me.

EATING PLACES AROUND TOWN AND SUCH:
Please avail yourself of the local Café in downtown Gillsville (Jeannie’s Café) there are more restaurants in Maysville like the Fat Finch which is very good but may be a bit pricey for some of us country folk. There are all the chain places at US 441 and I-85 (which is where you all may be staying) Outback, Longhorn’s, Sonny’s BBQ, McDonalds, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Cracker Barrel, Mexican places, TGI Fridays and Starbucks!!!
