8 to 10 Inches of snow with about an inch of ice on top

Looking from the Front Porch toward Oxford Rd

This tree was about as big as my finger and Melissa was six years old when this was planted at our old house.  It cost $480.00 to have it moved because of the "sentimental" value to Mel.  Boy, we almost lost it here.

"We want out"

I swear Flash is telling Bandit to jump and make a run for it.  The Borders seem to have fun in the snow.  We never could get them to come in at night. They'd head out to "Bob" and sleep up in the loft in the old hay.

Looking northeast from the front porch

Built just after the Civil War, you gotta figure the old town hall must have seen plenty of snow and ice.  There must have been a bunch of folks who sought shelter there back in the day.

Looking east from the front porch toward the church

Not much traffic moving on Oxford Road today.  Even the hot rod kids with their 4X4's stayed in.

Looking toward the "Bob" from the Baughman Rd Drive

The big ol' barn's roof held up well under the weight of all that snow. of course in some spots the snow was deep inside where there wasn't any roof.

Looking south east from the garage

The old wagon must have seen its days hauling frieght and folks all over tarnation when it was in it's heyday

Looking east into town from the Baughman Road drive

A little snow sure scared a lot of people.  When I was a kid we still had school and the adults worked.

Working on the Baughman Road driveway

This sure is hard on the neck.  Of course this was 2007 BC (Before Cub).  Once Mr. Wiggles gets fitted for a plow this stuff will be pushed forward.

Ouch

This branch fell onto the driveway just as I was coming through the gate to start plowing.  Had I been about thirty seconds faster it would have been on top of me.  Sometimes it pays to be old and slow.
